Rocking the Vote on Cape
Cape Democrats and Republicans please note: Young people participating in Cape Cod Rocks the Vote are going to ask each of the parties for a donation of $100 in order to send postcards to remind newly registered voters to exercise that right in the November election.
As of last week Cape Cod Rock the Vote — part of a nationwide effort to sign up new voters — had helped about 300 people register to vote for the first time. Rock the Vote, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization, was founded about 20 years ago. The Cape Cod chapter has been running voter registration tables outside businesses since the middle of the summer. Oct. 15 is the deadline for registering to vote at your local town hall.
